On this week’s show we have not one, but two interviews with people who are taking action for the oceans.
The first interview is with Flossie who is a 10 year old beach cleaner from Dublin and she is currently fundraising for a Seabin. Find out more about Flossie at http://www.flossieandthebeachcleaners.com
The second interview is with Ellie Jackson, children’s author of Duffy’s Lucky Escape and Marli’s Tangled Tale and we talk about how the feedback she’s received from schools and how her books are encouraging children to take action to help our natural world.
With Christmas just two weeks away, we share the news that Christmas shopping is set to be the most ethical on record, but that research from environmental charity Hubbub shows that one in four Christmas Jumpers bought last year were thrown away or unlikely to be worn again.
In the second half of the show we shine the spotlight on two community groups which have joined http://www.ododow.org and we talk about how they are supporting the local community in their own distinct ways, before we conclude with our reflection from Rise Like Air entitled Grit.
