We share news of Torbay Cleaner Coasts Initiative which was formed in Summer 2017 and who are actively preparing a programme of events for 2018 which will be announced early next year with opportunities for local volunteers to get involved in.
With winter approaching, we read a reflection from Jewel, founder of Rise Like Air blog, who shares what the advent of winter feels like for her and fellow Canadian residents and then we talk about some volunteering opportunities which can help you keep any winter blues at bay.

We share the good news that the UK will back a total ban on insect-harming pesticides in fields across Europe which was announced that day by the Environment Secretary Michael Gove.
More good news follows from the Attenborough Nature Centre owned and managed by Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust who have said that that their cafe has now switched to 100% compostable cups and biodegradable lids in response to recent news about the damage to the environment that takeaway coffee cups cause.
