Show Highlights September 14 2017

In this week’s show David is the solo host in Debbie’s absence and he brings his own unique take to the show with a focus on two companies who are transforming their industries; Fairphone and Ecosia and explains how he has made his own conscious choices to support both these companies.

He shares news of a free 6 week participatory photography course which starts on Monday 2nd October at The Strand Community Centre Dawlish and which has been created for people who are disadvantaged through addictions, social exclusion, mental health issues or who have a strong desire to improve their lives and gain confidence and self esteem.

David talks about The UN International Year of Pulses as a way to introduce the nutritional power of these foods and to explain that they are a low carbon footprint food too.

He finishes the show with sharing the story of Wayne Dixon and his dog Koda who have decided to walk the entire length of the UK coastline and who are collecting litter from beaches as they go and continuing to raise awareness of this global issue as they travel the country.
