We start the show by talking about a young boy from Texas who has invented a gadget that could save the lives of young children accidentally left in hot cars
We then go to highlight Impact Journalism Day happening on Saturday June 24th where 50 leading newspapers from around the world will publish on the same day, a special print and web edition dedicated to concrete and inspiring solutions to global issues on subjects like education, energy, health care, agriculture, water, technology and urbanism.
The next section of the show is dedicated to discussing the conscious choices we are taking as we move home from the choice of letting agent, through to our choice of electricity supplier, through to where we purchase our furniture which leads us onto talking about National Upcycling Week is being held from 24th June to 1st July.
With Glastonbury just about to start, we ask the question, can a festival the size of Glastonbury be sustainable and environmentally friendly and so we shine the spotlight on the sustainable practices which underpin the festival and which will be tried at this year’s festival
We finish with news of the show Free to Be…. which will be performed at the Princess Theatre, Torbay on Tuesday 27 June where schools will perform their own songs and a selection of songs about freedom.
